I have really bad range on my fob, sometimes works, sometimes not. Your body acts like a antenna

V-Tech and EcoBoost kicked in yo

This works as long as the key fob is near any major bone of the body. This means you could use your hip, thigh or shin bone too.

The signal from key fob is transmitted to the bone and the bone acts an antennae, boosting the signal.

Source: there are science articles about the conduction of electromagnetic signals through bone structure and I use this technique whenever I borrow my pop’s car. I usually point the key towards my hip bone while in my pocket because it looks weird to point it toward your chin in public.

and here’s me thinking it was my ears acting like antennas.
Good to know I don’t have to look like a fool anymore.
