There are several things wrong with this post. First of all, take into account that the Supra is a 20 year old car. It could thrash most things on the road at that time, which brings me on to my second point: Japan had a horsepower limitation at the time, meaning all cars had to have 276bhp or less. 3rd party tests have revealed it had over 300bhp, but that’s not important right now. The point is that the Supras were meant to be modified. A well tuned 2jz can produce 1000+ bhp. Toyota could easily have gotten more out of the car, but they left it to the aftermarket. Third, since when does a car have to be faster than anything else to be your favorite car? You are using the logic of a 9 yr old who says his favorite car is the Veyron. Rant over. Note, I am a Euro fan, so please don’t call me a Supra fanboy. Don’t mean to offend anyone, just expressing my opinion.
completely agree! also, a stock supra tt, now will cost ~25k usd, and it can trash any 25k car you can buy new!

It was still pretty quick stock and could beat a lot of different cars in it’s time. However, everyone always talks about it beating Lambos, Corvettes, etc. That’s only after it’s been modified. If you’re going to compare car’s performances, stock vs stock. If it’s going to be modified, than also compare it modified.
