Sun roof because for the days when the weather is hot and a/c is not efficient to use in town
I want to go with her on track days aswell, it gets a cage but im scared that the roof gets affected by that
When it comes to performance, a sunroof will add a little weight, reduce rigidity and raise the centre of gravity - but not enough to worry about on your average street driven S15. The biggest worry is headroom, the sunroof reduces your headroom and if you’re really tall or are wearing a helmet you might be touching the roof. Some people with S15s with sunroofs get rails to lower the seating position
Weight is not the Problem, i dont want a sub 8 min on the nürburgring ;) I dont want to drive it often on the track, but my worries are that when i drive it on the track it may cracks or gets leaky Im 1,90m ita not that tall but im no dwarf either 😂
If you’re anything over 6ft go without I’m 6ft 3in and have a sunroof, already facing a reality that I can’t do a track day ever as a helmet won’t fit Daily driving it’s not that big of a deal, mostly a way to fill the cabin with fumes
Okay so you are just as tall as i am :) So for daily driving its ok? Im driving a Calibra with sunroof right now and its very tight on trackdays but im cool with it, id rather have one with sunroof but if you say that a helmet wouldnt fit i will think about that :)
Mental note, move to Germany. Australia needs cheap parts
Hahahaha maybe the parts are a little cheaper but the cars are more extensive provided you find one ;) … mental note, move to australia, buy S15, move back to germany 😂
The go sunroof.
Go without sunroof, it adds wheight and rises the center of gravity and it will be useless with a rollcage
