1998 Renault Megane Coupe I 2.0 16v F7R

this is ‘Viola’ dont ask haha, picked her up 2 months ago for 1K but with a hefty stack of history, and several modifications, fast road cams, lightened flywheel and stage 1 clutch, since then ive sorted the exhaust out and got nice shiny brembo performance disks (standard sized) all round for stoppers

standard they came out with 148hp and a 8.5 to 60 and 140+mph topspeed (according to renault, enthusiasts got it to 8.1 and 70mph on public roads) i estimate around 160+ as she stands but the flywheel makes a world of difference and she is much quicker to 60, though havent timed it so going off feel compared to my old one

im hoping to keep this one as there are so few left in the UK (less than 100 all together according to howmanyleft)

in the future im looking at apex suspension for her, untill i can save for coilovers, and rear beam drop, i want to rebuild the engine using high comp pistons, decent head gasket, along with ITB’s and a ported head and finish it off with custom ecu :) should be handy for around 200hp. supporting wise, better clutch, LSD, full coilover kit, braided brake lines and better disk/pads along with some wider alloys for a bit more grip :)

currently my list of maitenence needed goes like this::

fuel filter is stuck on and looks OLD
flush of steering and brake fluids
suspension towers will need welding in near future
and check out the wiring behind the dash as looked a bit hacked up behind stereo

im looking to get some nice pictures of her as the weather improves and a go-pro so i can capture the lovely sounds she makes and the drives i go on :)
