I cannot justify any of these prices. Although I guess you’re only buying these if you struggle to empty your bank account.

It’s quite easy really. Probably at least one of those is unique, meaning there’s just one. In that case, their price is impossible to determine. It is worth as much as people will pay for it.

Like that story about two very rare books. They were the only two left, so a man that already had one bought the other for, lets say, 100 million. Then he destroyed one of them and the other is worth a lot more than those 100 million.

If it’s old and it’s got a Ferrari badge it’s going to drive some very rich people crazy. Is it some sort of hype?
For example, there are only six original Shelby Daytonas. SIX! unlike the whole 39 units of the 250GTO^^ - talk about rarity
If eventually one of these Shelby comes up for sale, will it ever reach the mental values of these Ferraris?

^^ (multiple variants, I know)

As a hypothetical, if i was offered the chance to own either a Shelby Daytona or a 250 GTO, Id have to flip a coin. I couldnt choose otherwise, they are both great cars.
The sad thing is that if you were out driving the Daytona, itd probably be mistaken for a Ferrari anyway.
