I learned this from my mum, apparently it’s just perspective
Dont try to draw from your mind, that’s a thing only the most experienced artist can do. If you wanna draw something right prepare lots of references before and don’t rush to the drawing part, take some time to think about what you’re gonna do. Trust me I learned this the hard way
Agreed. With a reference picture I can get almost every one of the proportions right, but I can’t even draw a 66 Mustang from my mind because it would look something like this…
Start of with basic shapes like rectangles and squares to get the structure of the car. Then fill in with detail
You should have the real car image in front, and imagine the angle where you are “seeing it”
