Dramatic Footage Of Fatal Russian Plane Crash Caught On Dash Cam

Harrowing footage of the airliner that killed four crew members was caught on a dash cam

Dramatic footage of the plane that crashed yesterday was captured on a Russian dashboard-mounted camera.

The Tupolev Tu-204 airliner - which was carrying no passengers at the time - slid off the Vnukovo airport runway and rammed through a busy motorway barrier. Four of the Tupolev's 12 crew members (the pilot, co-pilot, flight engineer and a flight steward) were killed when the plane 'split into three pieces' and caught fire.

Eye witnesses to the event also reported that a 'man was thrown from the plane as it rammed into the motorway barrier.'

At the moment of impact, the dash-mounted camera captures debris and luggage being thrown onto the motorway, slamming a fast-moving car into the highway's central reservation barrier. The car which was filming at the time is also seen losing control.

The 'Red Wings' airliner is said to have crashed due to pilot error.
