Milltek stainles catback mk2 octavia vrs tfsi review
i purchased this exhaust after my standard one rusted and fell to pieces, a replacement oem system was going to cost me the same as a miltek and no other company in the area sold aftermarket ones, and was told they are not made by anyone else.
With this system i did not purchase it to be loud as possible, because as i need this car for day to day family use i didn’t want to annoy the occupance of the car when conversations start.(even though I do like a good exhaust note) going on long journeys with a non resonated exhaust can be tedious, the drone of a 3 inch straight pipe makes you want to hang yourself.
This certainly though makes the car sound sporty while holding reasonable stealthy appearance and volume. no big fart can on the back to blow away old pentioners on the pavement for me. I’ve had many walking sticks and Zimmer frames shaken in my general direction manyer Times, I don’t need any encouragement.
it sounds sporty enough when you get on it and is pretty good in tunnels but out on the open road you will struggle to hear it on the inside of the car unless you blowers, radio and occupance are all muted you can just about hear it with the windows closed.
if you are wanting a very sporty sounding exhaust and you dont mind annoying the family or neighbours i recommend for you the non-resonated miltek.
but if you are wanting a sleeper build with the benefits of a stainless steel exhaust but want to keep it stealth i recommend then the resonated version.
hope this helps someone as there is not much information for miltek exhausts for the mk2 vrs octavia. I have struggled with finding exhaust info but it is rare to find a good detailed article.

Any questions feel free to ask
Sounds very nice . Thinking of getting resonated myself . Would you recommend an upgrade based on the differences you’ve noticed .
Is it worth the money for exhaust note in your opinion and is their any difference in performance?
Hmm thats a good question. I would say there isnt a massive change in power that you can notice, but i can imaging having a larger diamiter dosent hurt as it will get rid of gasses quicker. Ive had this now for well over a year and i have realy enjoyed having that litle bit of noise. To me the stock exgaust is a bit week for somthing thats supose to be a sports car, i think a miltek makes it sound what is should of sounded like from new.
So yes i would say it is worth it. Bear in mind it will bed in over time and will get a bit louder when everythi g is bedded in. https://youtu.be/OwBrl64WqOI
This is a 8 month after video after it had bedded in👍
