The Jetta Stereotype.
I assume we all love our Jettas and think they’re great cars but Jettas have a bad stereotype of being girly cars? Maybe its just where I live but there is practically no respect for them. Its seen as the car that only white girls that drink Starbucks everyday. Now I know that they’re wrong and that the Jetta has serious performance under the hood but no matter what I do to try and explain to them they just deny it. Like I said it could be where I live and this stereotype may not exist outside of where I live but its highly annoying. I say that because most people around where I live see pickup trucks, muscle cars, and Subarus as the only car that you should ever buy. Its mostly pickups and when ever somebody does own a Jetta it’s not owned by a car enthusiast. Does the Jetta have the stereotype of being a preppy white girls car where you live or is it seen as a cool car?

It’s similar where I live, but i live in small town Ohio. So take that as you will
I live in a small town in West Virginia so 80% of the population think diesel trucks are the coolest things in the world and have no idea why you would get a small car unless its a muscle car because than that’s cool to them.
I live in montana and they same to have that same mind set here. I get a lot of crap from people, especially because mines a jetta wagon.
In Canada here jettas are the ultimate car enthusiast vehicle on a budget
I wish they were seen like that here.

Anyone who finds fault (unless it’s a Prius) what what another person chooses to drive needs to take a hard, long look in the mirror.
