Excuse the red wheel protectors and lack of appropriate decals. Went to see this “British” Bulldog last night, loved it, bought it.

Why I am asking you this is because I am considering buying a R56 as well…. Next year but all I hear from owners and forumns is
The car is going to cost me an arm and a leg to maintain and is going to be in the workshop more than on the road…

Previous models had puegot 1.6 motors
This new R56 has bmw motor and a 2LT powerplant…
Will this motor not be far more reliable than its predecessors??

This is my first Mini, I owned a BMW 118d Coupé previously, but my sister had owned Mini’s for the last 10 years or so, so I’ve seen quite a few of the gen 2’s.
If you’re thinking of gettig something with a few miles under its’ belt then unfortunately I can’t comment, as I’ve had no experience with high mileage Mini’s. My sister has always leased new Mini’s and my JCW has only done 7,500 miles from new. With this in mind all Mini owners I’ve known have been happy with the reliability of the cars.
