I only use microfiber for my cars. Shamwows and other similar products will scratch more when they pick up dirt.

Unless im buffing after a wash i wont dry off my car. Ill use distilled water and rinse the car with that. The lack of minerals wont leave spots on the car.

During the wash is a combo of a clean bucket and a dirty one then a bunch of new microfibers. Even then i like to buff after because any cleaning scratches the pain. But my MG is like a mirror finish u can see when i didnt buff after a wash

I use a chamois an odd time, I don’t think it actually makes a difference microfibre vs drying towel vs chamois’. After all the car is clean when you dry it, if you keep rinsing the towel you shouldn’t have a problem and I never have.

I use a Chamois for cars with wax on them and a drying towel for my ceramic coats, and it’s because it works far better on each type, I didn’t like microfibres they left streaky paint

Ahh so since my car is waxed regularly you figure it would be safe to use a chamois?
