Solid Lifter - Better for higher RPM, isn’t as limited when it comes to lift - better for race cars. Hydraulic Lifter - The much better choice for a daily driver. More reliable, quieter and “self adjusting”. Valve float occurs earlier than with solid lifter, more limited when it comes to amount of lift.
