The Ulimate Veyron

Webster's dictionary just got a new definition for excess. Move over, "average" Veyron, your picture has just been replaced by the gold-plated Veyron you see above. I think you can guess which area of the world this car has been sold in....

Yes, the Middle East. Kuwait, to be specific. Apparently someone decided that a Bugatti Veyron just wasn't enough, and they had to do more. It's not clear whether the gold-plating was done by Bugatti or if it was done after ownership; there isn't a whole lot of information available on this car.

The gold-plated Rolls-Royce above was commissioned through the company's Bespoke Program. Kind of like Cadillac used to do (and I believe still does), you can customize the car to your heart's content.

Other then the Rolls-Royce and this Veyron, most of the time the gold-plating is worth more then the car it's put on, like with this Fiat 500:

Crazy, huh? Do they need help figuring out what to do with all the cash? I think I can help out with that one. Like the original article said, it takes a special person to have a car like this. While I'm not one to ridicule other's decisions, this is definitely the most excessive, over the top car. Ever.

Other then the fact that it's a Bugatti, it actually looks less over the top then other, less expensive vehicles in such fashion. The gold/tan combination looks good, while in my opinion most gold-plated cars do not.

The car is just a showboat either; the owner actually drives the car. It's gotten caught by Kuwaiti media, the public and some speeding cameras! Uh oh. It gets stored in a special climate-controlled atmospheric chamber and is treated to $10,000 detail jobs.

This sets the standard for excess. Now the only question is: will anyone try to top it?
