These Simultaneous Explosions Are Mad Even For The World Of Drag Racing
Incredible footage shows the moment two Funny Cars blew up at almost exactly the same time at a drag strip in Florida
It’s well known that the upper echelons of drag racing are utterly bonkers. From supercharger assemblies blowing clear of their mountings to cars exploding right in front of people’s faces, these nitromethane-fueled monsters have a tendency to go ‘kaboom’ in the most dramatic of ways.
This latest video from the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) however, is another level of mad. It shows the Funny Cars Matt Hagan and Robert High blowing up very nearly at the same time at the recent Amalie Motor Oil Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida.
Both drivers were able to keep their mangled machines just about under control, and were seen climbing clear of the wreckage seemingly without injury.
