We can expect a new aero package, track-biased suspension, bigger brakes and more power. Exactly how much extra power is not yet known, but Autocar seems to think 570bhp is the figure based on information from its sources. It’ll use the same dry-sumped, twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 as the GT and GT S.

The price for all this? Well, given that the GT S is £110,500 and the GT-R is expected to be a limited-run affair, expect the price tag to be closer to the £150,000 mark.

Mercedes GT-R? Oh yeah, this ain’t the first time guys. There was a Mercedes CLK GTR before. No, Mercedes didn’t copy anything from Nissan…(Okay, maybe this Twin Turbo craze was started by Nissan/Porsche or maybe it really was just a coincidence that AMG, ‘Rarri, McLaren just decided to copy Nissan and Porsche in the Twin Turbo Supercar Shctick)

“GT-R” and “GTR”. There’s a difference. Oh, and I don’t think anyone is copying anyone else. Emissions regulations are forcing everybody to go turbocharged anyway.

This looks like the road going version of the racer from the 24 hour endurance races.
I think it was the previous CLK GTR that was aerodynamically flawed that it took off with Webber on the wheel during a race 😂

Why don’t they just call it AMGT-R?

SL 65 AMG BLACK FTW. And why is not called the “AMG GT BLACK” as we already have a GT-R called the Nissan GT-R

I’ll have to take cover behind the hay bales then at Goodwood a flying chunk of tarmac might hit me in the face :)

570bhp Mercedes AMG GT-R? What will the Black series have?! Probably not enough grip.
