This Idiot's Drawbridge Jump Attempt Went Horribly Wrong
A driver in Bruinisse, the Netherlands attempted to jump a five metre gap on a closing drawbridge, but ended up smashing into the other side and falling into the water
Ironically, the 56-year-old male driver wasn’t injured in the crash itself, but managed to fall on a concrete barrier while escaping the water, breaking ribs and puncturing a lung in the process. Moments before, he’d driven under a security barrier and toward the bridge, which was seconds from closing.
The bridge was closed for a few hours while the stricken vehicle was recovered.
