Hot Or Not: Renault's Rear-Engined, RWD Twingo
Renault's RWD Twingo should be great fun to drive, but is it hot or not?
The Universe went a bit weird last week, as on the same day BMW controversially released its first front-wheel drive car, Renault unveiled its new Twingo, which is rear-wheel drive...
That rear-engined, rear-wheel drive layout isn't as mad as you might think, however. Having the engine mounted under the floor at the rear rather than taking up loads of space at the front means it can be better packaged. More importantly for us car guys, that'll give it a low weight distribution. Throw rear-wheel drive into the mix, and this should be an entertaining little car.
The question is though, is it hot or not?
