10 Ways We React When People Criticise Our Cars At A Meet
When someone criticises your car, it can feel like you've been stabbed in the heart with a blunt chisel, then slapped across the face with a Haynes manual. I know, I've been there many, many times before. Here's what it's like...
1. You put on a brave face, but inside, you're dying...
2. Why is everyone hating on stretched tyres? Mine aren't even that bad!
3. As people look closer, they point out paint imperfections
4. You feel like going into hiding...
5. But then you remember that the haters don't even drive...
6. And hey, it's a project car, what do you expect?
7. Then some smart ass comments on your kerbed wheels
8. You remind them that you're human and sometimes make mistakes!
9. Suddenly, someone says that you've "ruined a classic"
10. Then you remember: as long as my car makes me happy, that's all the hell that matters!

Exactly what everyone said about my old car, Except the classic part. It was a classic’s little ugly brother that no one liked.

At a car meet? The only thing I hear people tell the owners at a meet is “nice car.” People only criticize if they are behind a keyboard on facebook or youtube.
Or Car Throttle. (Sorry but it’s the truth. There are a lot of haters on here)
And all of this happen in point of the second
I’ve only had one person criticize my car and they said I paid too much money for the wrap and that a “buddy” of theirs could have done it for half the cost. I just smiled and said “I’ll keep that in mind”. In truth, I did overpay for my wrap, but I went with the best place I could find as the quality and integrity of the shop was far more important to me than the money
Pulling into the Car meet and I hear from the entrance. “Nissan Skyline R33. GTS. NONE Turbo.” So you know what I did. Sweet sound of turbo spool and watched all his buddies shun him.
Also had a guy say “Thanks” after he took a picture of it. That was a bit weird.
When they ask u why u didn’t buy something in better shape.
