Is it possible to "hide" a turbo or a supercharger from inspection centers and cops?

Without putting a turbo on the back of the car…

My suggestion would be, don’t hide it. Always declare your mods.

However if you absolutely must do it:

Don’t use shiny ass parts. Get a charge cooler rather than intercooler, they are less conspicuous. Don’t use stainless or bright aluminium air pipes, paint everything black. Obviously smaller turbos would be easier, but put them behind things if possible. If your engine is a "V" configuration, put it under the block.

The easiest way, would be to get a big ass plastic cover like you find in modern cars. Say you own a BMW, order a BMW V10 engine cover, that thing will be huge. Just use it to cover up your engine. If you own a Mercedes, get a Mercedes one.

If you make it look like it has never been touched and is bone stock, they probably wouldn’t search much further.

I might make a small box cut in half (like a heat shiedl for the turbo and then I would right something in the top of the box t like "genuine toyota performance air filter box" or something like that. Good idea?

Remote turbos work. But really if you want to break the rules you need to find someone that will let you break the rules. Most likely for a few hundred dollars
