1996 BMW 528i
My first car, a 96’ Montreal Blau BMW E39 528i Manual (M52B28).
Bought it when I was 19. When I bought it, I didnt know a lot of mechanic, but the passion was high and I really wanted a BMW 5series.
I really wanted to learn, so I did read a lot of forums (DIY’s) and most of it is self thought. Love this BMW even though wallets hurts sometimes.
This car is originally a 96 model which means, pre-face models with no Angeleyes and such. It got rainsensor though lol.
What I did so far with my E39 528i:
- Coilovers (Ta-technix - Bilstein B14)
- M-tech front and rear bumpers
- Hella facelift Headlights
- Hella facelift tailights
- Supersport Exhaust muffler 2x70 with resonator delete
- M-sport steeringwheel (single stage)
- Wheels: Rondell D58 8.5x18et13 with 215/35 Falken ZIEX and 10x18et19 235/35 Falken ZIEX
- BMW grey leather sportseats instead of comfortseats.
- LED interior lightening, not overdone.
- Full service and A LOT of maintenance, all from engine (gaskets, plugs, pulleys, tensioners, sensors etc) to suspension (arms, bushings) and brakes.
- Full alpine soundsystem:
- Alpine PDX-1.1000rms (mono)
- Alpine PDX-F6 4x150rms (4channel)
- Alpine SPX-13PRO (Front component)
- Alpine SWR-1242D (2x Elements)
Sounds really deep and clean!
Plans are:
- Some minor rust work and new paint coat (same color obviously).
- Some nice 3-piece wheels.
- Air suspension.
- M50B25 intake manifold (already bought it) with Supercharger.
- Better stopping power. M5 brakes front and rear.
- A LSD (M5 lsd or Quaife)
