Automation Group B Rally Car Build!

So I finally got around to posting this request that I got a couple days ago from a user called Sliptrack to build a Group B Rally Car. It doesn’t have a name (Why not suggest some in the comments!), but I tried to make it as authentic as I could.

The model year was restricted to 1983 and I chose a body that looked a lot like an 86. I didn’t go crazy with the race car styling as I tried to mimic what the road version of the race car would look like, but it still does have a pair of rally lights and an 80’s style spoiler that would probably would be useless at providing any useful downforce.

Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.5 liter I4 producing as nearly 500 horsepower which is a lot more than I expected to get from this on my first time trying to build an engine like this. It’s all wheel drive of course and even despite it running with chunky offroad tires it was still able to do a 1:26.6 around the Top Gear Test Track which is only a couple of tenths down on the Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S!

I had a good time building this and plan to post more of this in the future, so if anyone wants me to build something specifically just let me know and I’ll get to it when I get the chance!
