Mustang GT350 based Lincoln Sports Car?

What do you guys think about this idea??? This is a little thought baby I had whilst working today, I think this would be pretty freaking amazing. The crazy Flat-plane V8 from the GT350 meets the luxury of the new Lincoln cars. They should even put even pipes (headers? I forget what they did to make the GT350 sound the way it does) to make that engine sound more exotic. It would create quite an interesting car… It’s not even an impossible dream either.

Idk… it looks kinda good, but it wouldn’t work out…don’t forget how heavy the normal mustang is…this, with an upgraded interior and gadgets might be far too heavy…also don’t forget it has to be more expensive and people would want to have a more refined engine, and a twin turbo V6 like the one in the GT may lack reliability…the idea certainly is good and the rendering also looks nice…but I don’t think it’d be a success so it won’t happen.

Well let’s look at it this way, a luxury mark looking to be a true player is going to have big luxury sedans and now SUVs to their name, and conventionally a large 2 door to be a flagship. Lincoln has a history of producing these 2 door flagships up until 98. And these would likely be able to feature any engine option the mustang could carry, as well as let Ford test out hybrid drive trains in mustang architecture. All they would need to do is stretch the platform slightly, and with the mustang having finally ditched the solid axle, improved comfort shouldn’t be too hard to manage. Saving money on platform development and making it a pioneer for new hybrid tech could make this a possibility if Lincoln wants to pursue it.

Lol I totally get you. That’s why I said the GT350 though :) I’d love to see what they could cook up with that Flat-plane V8… It would be an entirely different driving experience.
