Volkswagen Karmann Ghia TC

Brazil has produced some pretty interesting cars, and this is no exception. Built to be a successor to the original Karmann Ghia (even though VW in Europe had already replaced that with the Type 34 I featured yesterday), it was a rather spacious 2+2 based, like the Type 34, on the Type 3 chassis. Although it only had 65 horsepower, this was still nearly twice that if the original Karmann Ghia, and so it had a blistering top speed of 86mph. But hey, it’s nice looking.

86 mph is pretty fast for an old VW! How many years does it take to get up to that speed?
