If you’re an avid drifter, using expensive tires will add quite a bit to your expenses over time.

The most stupid review i have ever seen! He is comparing uhp bridgestone summer tires to some all seasons, used and old… by the way fuzion is owned by Bridgestone. I had kinforest Chinese tires lasted 10k more than pirellis, the only problem with them was slightly more noise…

I agree entirely with this video. Except for one thing. If you’re starting out learning to drive fast I think it’s better to run cheap tyres on the car. No, you aren’t gonna be particularly fast, but the you learn a lot more about car control when you have no grip. You reach the limit quicker and learn to control a car on the limit at much lower speeds, so if you do lose it you either have time to gather it back up again or when you hit the solid thing, it hurts less. For road safety, I agree. Good tyres are a must. For learning to drive, low grip is good - in a similar way to the Finns I guess.

You are right.
I passed from a 1.4 Corolla to a WRX and it came with cheap ass Hifly winter tyres.
I left them for money reasons and also they were not worn.
Keeping those tyres let me push the WRX with lower speeds than with summer tyres. So I could discover the car’s reactions and adapt to it. Now I feel more confident and know how my car behaves.
