After calling their customer to confirm it was indeed the right car, then dialling 911 to inform the police, these quick-thinking mechanics stayed with the stolen S60 until local authorities arrived to apprehend the thief. According to News On 6, the have-a-go-heroes were Joseph, Gabe and Kenneth from Svenskraft, a garage based in Tulsa, Oklahoma specialising in Swedish cars.

On the description of the video upload on YouTube, Gabe aptly signed off by saying "Volvo people stick together." Even though Tulsa Police have - perhaps wisely - advised others against repeating the Svenskraft mechanics’ actions, the three still deserve a doff of the cap, we reckon.

The thief, meanwhile, has been named as 26-year-old Elizabeth Newton. She was arrested for a plethora of infractions including possession of a stolen car, speeding, driving without a license and resisting arrest.
