4E-FE

Hi guys, new member here, so i got this toyota corolla from 1993 with the 4E-FE in it (1.3l twin-can 16v).
What can i make (or buy haha) to get a few more horses from this engine?
Please lets keep it real hahah turbo charging it would be way to expensive and just play hard

It is hard to get more hp than the original 86 of the engine, but I have seem one with 140 without turbo.
Get a K&N filter first, straight pipe it
I don’t remember if we can do that, but if possible buy 4 itb (of course lol)
Then get some stickers (lol) 😂

4 itb? Got lost on that part haha
The filter and straight pipe was in my mind, also gonna strip out everything not needed… Cause weight reduction bruh!!!

Not much you can do honestly.
If you can, switch it with the 4EFTE from a Glanza. Engine mounts and everything fit.
Only some wiring has to be done, the rest is straight fit.
If you want (have) to keep the original engine there is some minimal horses to be gained here:

  • Cold Air Intake with K&N filter
  • exhaust (decat/muffler/complete new exhaust)
    -installing a power boost valve
  • different exhaust manifold
—> these will give you about 5 extra horses and a bit of throttle response

If you get a 4efte throttle body and larger injectors you can get to 100hp

A buddy of mine had build a turboed 4efe engine and that seems the quickest way to get a decent power increase.
