The Taycan could be faster around the Nürburgring
Porsche set a record around the Nürburgring with its Taycan. And, almost immediately after, Tesla came and set an unofficial record with their Model S, which they claim was 19 seconds faster. But Porsche says that their record wasn’t done with their fastest Taycan version.
Porsche Taycan product manager Lukas Kramer said to Cars Guide that Porsche could go much faster. The company used the Taycan Turbo, not the Turbo S. Barring the fact that it’s an electric car and therefore can’t have a turbocharger, this would be over a hundred more horsepower produced by the car.
Porsche didn’t take a Turbo S because they wanted their record to be set by a car that had just done a 24-hour test drive. Only the tires were changed on that car. So that means that Porsche could once again reach indisputable supremacy in this EV Nürburgring battle that’s heating up.
