Ahmad Younes I did an oopsie. Broke the #1 rule of car guys, which is to never buy somebody else’s unfinished project. Mechanicaly it’s just fine, but there are 1000 non-mechanical little things that aren’t installed or need replacement as you’d expect. Also needs a lot of paint retouching because it’s rock chipped literally everywhere. (It looks fine in the photos because i edited the rock chips out.)

OMG YOU GOT YOUR FIRST CAR!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!
I know it’s been a while and you’ve already had it for like 6 months now, so tell me how is she hanging? And have you made any progress with the mods you were planning? Must be amazing to finally have your own car that you can do whatever you want with it!!

Also how are you doing? Been a while!

Thanks :)
Some things need to be fixed, some to be installed, but it’s just quality of life stuff like the automatic mode of the automatic AC, the automatic fuel door opener and other things like that. The exhaust is rattly, the muffler is blown and the rubber mount is so loose it could very well be considered old chewing gum.
Got most of the parts with the car, but i still need to get the Climatronic actuators. Will install everything at once.
I also need some paint, clear coat, body filler and sandpaper for the rock chips.

Ah yes, the eastern european special. Angel eyes, aftermarket radio and air freshener on the vents. Very fun cars.

Totally the east european special. Even has the debadged grille. (I finally found an OEM grille my color for sale, can’t wait to replace the debadged grille.)

I took the radio out, it was hella buggy. Like, when i’d put the key in the ignition, the radio would start at full blast. I don’t even listen to music while driving. Gonna install a single DIN, ultrawide screen tablet anyway to use with Waze. I’ll 3D print the trim pieces i need for a proper integration.
And not an air freshner, but a support for magnetic phone cases. It’s really stuck there. If i pull it, it wants to take the whole dashboard with it. One hell of an adhesive. That’s stuck there forever basicaly. At least it’s a nice time consumer when waiting for somebody. I keep it there because it has a magnetic coin and a very strong magnetic field. It’s fun to throw the coin at it and see how it gets attracted in the field.

But, yeah, it’s a fun car overall. Accelerates quickly and sounds good. A bit too loud because it’s straight piped, so i’ll maybe do something about it later, but i kinda like it like this.
I need to fix some stuff first and upgrade others. I want to replace every single rubber thing under the hood with either silicone or braided steel reinforced tubes. I also want to replace everything that is a gasket, no matter where it is. Both belts with high performance ones, because it won’t stay at this power level for much longer. And upgrade the brakes to ventilated Brembo discs. (Mostly because i forgot the handbrake on because i was sleepy one day and drove like that for, like, 6km without realizing and now the rear brakes make a scratchy sound and it’s hella annoying. I could replace the wheel bearings too, since they are cheap and the wheels and brakes would be replaced soon anyway.)

Also, damn, the amount of dings it has from just sitting in a parking lot is insane.
The worst ones are on the right fender. You might be able to see in the first photo that there is a little dent. Now there are 3 dents that size.
