Long Tube Headers on 6.2 V8 M156

Hi Community,

I would like to ask if anybody here is driving with Long Tube Headers on the M156 Engine (Doesn’t matter if C63, S63, Cl63 etc.). My Car is running with them since roughly a half a year. At the same time may car has started to vibrate starting from 120 KM/H (Roughly). While going crazy and visiting one workshop after another and replacing random Parts (I better don’t say how much was unnecessarily replaced….) finally I found a good address who found the issue. And guess what, it’s the Long Tube Header.

The engine bay is just too small for this part and is touching other parts in the engine bay, which is causing the vibration. I was told that all Manufacturers are having the same issue (Supersprint, Renntech, IPE etc.) and also most of the drivers are facing the same problems. Only help is to replace the Header by the Old one.

Now three questions:

1.) Is anybody running also Long Tube Headers and having the same issues?
2.) Does anybody know maybe better engineered Headers which are “smaller”.
3.) Are there other Setups which are giving the same improvements without using long tube Headers at all? (Doubting it but who knows…).
