Any 330D/335D owners here?

Hi fellow E9X owners,
I’m currently looking on purchasing a 330D/335D and at my budget it will be around 100,000 mile mark.
Are there any common issues I should be looking for?

Not that I know anything in particular, but a diesel with high mileage is never catastrophic

If it’s an M57, then make sure swirlflaps is removed. If not, remove them.

Other than that, crankcase breather filter should be changed every 2nd/3rd oil change. Just an FYI.

Better choose M57, not N57, because of a chain issue. Swirl flaps must be deleted.
The engine life is pretty long. Have seen 600k km on the clock, but still running almost like a new

Wow 600k? That’s amazing.
Thanks for the tip once I get ill make sure to remove them as it seems as it’s essential.
Was the N57 in the LCI 330d?

N57 is not as prone to timing chain failure as N47.

The engine can also be remapped! Mine is 330d. I’ve cat delete, dpf delete, straight piped +stage2 remap, 320bhp 😉

Belts on a BMW at 120k I think. That’s like $2000
