Renderings for Lanzante's second P1 'Longtail' conversion have just been released
It’s almost been 5 months since the McLaren gurus over at Lanzante Motorsport took the covers off P1 GT Chassis 01 - the first of only a handful of P1 GTR-based cars rebuilt to ‘Longtail’ specification. Chassis 01 was based on P1 GTR33, and was spec’d to match the colours worn by F1 ‘XP GT’. The Emirati individual responsible for comissioning the first P1 GT purchased the donor car only a couple of months prior to having it undergo its Longtail conversion; with the whole process taking around 8 months from start to finish.
Earlier today a new P1 Longtail was announced via a set of renders released by Lanzante’s Instagram page. Though information regarding this example is still very scarce, we know that it’s taking much of its inspiration from the infamous Gulf-Davidoff liveries worn by F1 GTR 20R and 28R, and that it’s going to be built atop P1 GTR018: a car very recently sold for £2,800,000 to an undisclosed individual in the UK. If you had the choice, which Longtail example would you have went for?
