Thoughts and Opinions on the 4G Eclipse
(Note: This is my first attempt at a blog so please tell me how you think I did)
The last two generations of the Mitsubishi Eclipse have been shunned and overlooked by the automotive community because they abandoned the AWD turbo layout of the first two generations. The second generation similarly to the mk4 Supra being immortalized in the Fast & Furious movies.
While the third and fourth generations did not have a turbocharged option, they did have something new; a V6 engine option. The fourth generation Eclipse’s V6 was a 3.8L with 263 horsepower and 258 lb ft of torque. While it may not be the fastest car ever built, it had a respectable 0-60 time of 6 seconds and a top speed of 149mph.
(Another side note is that the V6 doesn’t sound half bad either)
The fourth generation Eclipse is a bit on the heftier side weighing 3479 lb’s. This and it’s FWD layout leaves the handling a little to be longed for.
A very subjective part about this car is the looks. Some people may think it looks a little to bubbly and not aggressive enough, but that all can be changed with a few simple modifications. I personally love how this car looks and think it has aged very well for being a car that is nearly twelve years old.
I really do like this car and would like to own one someday and your opinion may differ, but that’s ok.

Rather have a Saab
Nice, I think Saab’s are pretty cool cars, but not many people I know agree with me on that😂
Love it awesome car and a lot cooler than the saab you have a good choice
I fell in love with it on DiRT 2 and have loved it since.
I really dont get why some peopme dislike it so much
the blog felt a little short imo, but maybe that’s just me
Yeah there are a few parts that I feel I could have added more to, but was blanking on what to write
Maybe because it’s fwd. Imo going awd to rwd is OK. But going awd to fwd is really a bad option.
I just find them too heavy and bloated looking to REALLY like them. The only Eclipse I like really is the 2G GSX model for its AWD and 4G63T, making it something like a compact Evo.
I like
I like the older more, but this one isnt bad too
What about VOLVO POLESTAR
Fun fact: there was a 4th gen Eclipse with AWD, however only the last 500 or so cars.
Yeah one of the SE trim models
