With the W124, Mercedes solved this problem. Why isn’t every car equipped with this system since ?
In my MX-5, I often loose money, lighters, my phone, my iPod or everything I have in my pockets in this gap. And it’s impossible to put my hand under the seats so I have to move the seat and perform emergency brakings to finally get back these….
Yes, the 124 was indeed a work of some genius. I found the broken piece in my aunt beaten up one and was very impressed. The small little sun visor above the rear view mirror is another feature I’m sold on. Why did no-one think of that before? These days they just black the windscreen out over there. I prefer the visor!
