Quick release installed

Installed my NRG quick release system last night. If anyone is interested here are the parts I got. NRG short hub part no. SRK-180H, NRG quick release 2.5 Bk part no. SRK-250BK, and a Momo competition wheel COM35BK0B. I used the stock wiring harness, and the clockspring. Had to cut the clips down to fit the harness under the hub. Still functional!

Eventually i will install harnesses and a racing seat. Probably this coming winter. The steering wheel is more for anti-theft at college for me!

I want an aftermarket steering wheel but it’s illegal to change on a car that has a stock airbag where I live 😩

Its technically illegal here. I also have illegal exhaust, but an officer won’t write a ticket because you are only endangering yourself. Once you add a harness, it becomes more legal because it is a complete safety system.

You cant even steal these cars without the key though.

Can’t be too safe. In theory, if you are a VW theif, you could buy a valet key, and start it right up.
