10 Awesome Cars Added To The Car Throttle Garage In June

As July kicks, we're having a look at some of the coolest cars added to our community's online garage last month

For most petrolheads, CTzen Drift Iss SCHASSIS’ 1998 Nissan 200SX needs little introduction. The light, rear-wheel-drive S-Chassis is a favourite among drifters and JDM enthusiasts. This 1998 ‘Kouki’ S14 is a stunning example of the S-Chassis at its finest.

Famous for its starring role in the Initial D manga, the Toyota Corolla AE86 hatchback has become a legend among Japanese sports cars. This super-clean, rear-wheel-drive Corolla is owned by CTzen Joshua Medine, and it’s one of the nicest AE86s that we’ve ever seen! No word on whether Joshua plans to start up his own tofu shop, though.

The Corolla AE86 wasn’t the only great Toyota to be made in the 1980s. As CTzen Tristan Arel’s car has demonstrated, the second-generation Celica Supra was an upsized, straight-six-powered hatchback that would eventually cement its reputation as one of Toyota’s most beloved cars among petrolheads. This Supra is in great shape, and is used by Tristan as a daily driver!

The madcap geniuses at SCL Performance are no strangers to unique and outrageous body kits. This Mad Max-themed Dodge Challenger is no exception. It’s safe to say that no other Dodge Challenger looks quite like this. With futuristic and aggressive fibreglass body panels, along with custom LED accent lights, it’s easy to see how “Mad Max” earned a spot in our monthly round-up!

Not every staff member at Car Throttle drives a rusted-out Miata or a questionably-wrapped Suzuki Wagon R. Some of us actually have some pretty cool cars. Case in point: the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII owned by social media specialist Will Chandler, who traded in his E46 M3 convertible for this 400bhp monster. We’d say that’s a pretty fair trade.

If you hear the term ‘E63’ and think of a BMW, you might just be a serious car guy. But if there ever was a car that’s more interesting to German sports car fans than an Mercedes-AMG E-Class, it would be the E63 M6. Powered by a glorious 5.0-litre V10, this high-performance 6-Series is arguably one of the greatest BMWs ever made. As such, we just couldn’t leave CTzen Daniel Van Den Weijer’s example off of our list this month.

Long-time users of Car Throttle will remember that our COO, Gabz, has made some interesting car-buying decisions in the past. One of the more infamous of these decisions was trading a Honda S2000 in for a Volkswagen Polo. Something he did twice. However, Gabz has made up for that by purchasing this neat little BMW Z4. We can’t help but think that Phil is slightly jealous of this rust-free roadster…

Some husbands buy their wives expensive jewelry. Others take a 1971 Toyota Corolla, drop in an SR20DET, beef up the drivetrain, and give their wife a drift car. Want to guess which group of people CTzen Sebastien Lemoyne belongs to? We’ll give you a clue - look at the awesome TE21 he’s put together for his significant other. Relationship goals.

The MG Midget has all the ingredients necessary to make a great little sports car: engine in the front; two seats in the middle; and power to the wheels in the back. CTzen shelbywilsher88 has taken full advantage of these facts and made a very awesome build out of her Midget. The racing livery isn’t just for show, either: this little roadster actually gets to spend time out on the track!

We wrap up this list with a big old Mercedes-Benz owned by CTzen Grant. This 50-year-old land schooner was the epitome of German automobilia in 1968, and still makes for an awesome cruiser today. We’re amazed with how good of condition this car is in! It’s no wonder that Janis Joplin sang about this car over forty years ago, as this was about as luxurious as cars got back then.

Wasn´t the S85 a 5 litre engine?

The Evo is actually now broken as it developed a nasty bottom end knock😣. Potentially going fully forged with a stroker kit to fix the problem!
