Listen Up, Petrolheads! Here's Why We Should All Just Get Along
There's one thing that unites all us petrolheads, and that's a love of cars. And yet, there's a ridiculous amount of infighting in the car-loving community. There's the endless import vs muscle debate, those that will hate on anything from a particular brand, and those that decide everything with power sent to the 'wrong' wheels is automatically rubbish. When it comes to import vs muscle, Impreza vs Evo, front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive, I don't just think why not both. I think: why not all.
There are those that will go through life owning only one sort of car, maybe even owning cars from one particular brand. And I've never understood that. I love all sorts of cars, have no interest in judging a car based on what brand it's from, and my aim in life is to own and drive as many different kinds of motors as I possibly can. Variety, as they say, is the spice of life, and I think that absolutely applies to cars. In my view, people are missing out on so much by pledging allegiance to just one type of car.
Whatever anyone says, though, there will always be people who religiously stick to their scene, and to an extent, I get that. But wouldn't it be great if we just all united in our affection for all things four wheels? In a world where the vast majority find the idea of being a car enthusiast baffling, we should stick together.
