The Incredible 2014 Goodwood Festival Of Speed In Pictures
If you follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook, you might have seen that last weekend, we were at what is quite possibly the best motoring and motorsport event of the year, the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
In case you’ve not heard of this brilliant event, let me sum it up for you: every year an extraordinary array of race and road cars (plus a fair few motorbikes) blat up the famous Goodwood Hillclimb a few feet from the spectators, while the world’s biggest car manufacturers camp out in gigantic stands to showcase the latest and greatest metal.
All of this takes place over a weekend in the grounds of Goodwood House, a country estate which is managed by Lord March, who happens to be a huge car nut. March has held the Festival Of Speed since 1993, and it’s become a must-visit event for petrolheads the world over.
This year proved to be another fantastic show, with a gorgeous range of metal - both modern and historic - on display. On the hill, Sébastien Loeb clocked the quickest time of the day at the wheel of the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak car (above) with an astonishing 44.6sec climb.
Check out our image gallery of the event below, plus the video above we shot at the top of the hill after a thrilling passenger ride.
