Idiot Mayor Causes Chaos After Removing Road Signs To 'Calm Traffic'
A crossroads in a Romanian town had all its signs removed by the mayor in an attempt to 'calm traffic'. Much crashing followed...
While we haven’t been able to find any local news sources to verify this, the uploader claims that the mayor has defended his bizarre decision. After coming under fire at a town hall meeting, the mayor is said to have referred to the spate of crashes as ‘slight problems’. A local man mounted a camera in a tree to capture the mayhem, resulting in the footage you see here.

This is surely The Most Idiotic Mayor.Ever.Of all time.
Why would a Mayor do this?
Is he trying to destroy the Car community?
is it worse than my ‘friend’ spawning 20 cars and nuking them in G-mod? When I say friend, He’s just a guy I know
Turns out, the Mayor is……
I’m from Romania and I can say there’s a chance for this to happen, but this is the first time I saw such a mayhem, even in Romania
It must have taken ages for him to figure that out
DEMOLITION DEERRBY!
Where exactly in Romania?
People in Youtube comments are telling that it’s not in Romania, but in Russia.
Nu e in Romania faza aia…
Sure, the mayor is a bonehead, but all those drivers just gunning it without even looking? Bigger boneheads still.
Also, this isn’t Romania. It’s the corner of Revolyutsii street and Chekhova street in Serpuchov, Russia.
Actually this is very smart, give me a second ill explain. In Finland where I live, they did the same. And it worked because everybody follows the rules. The idea in this crossroad is that when they remove the signs it becomes an equal intersection which basically means that the car/driver coming from your right has the way to go. So if they all followed the driving rules this would make sense and it would be so much more calm crossroad.
But apparently precisely no one follow the rules in Romania so….This happened.
yes I was thinking that too.. for a busy road that is very inconvenient though
Indeed; I recall there was an experiment at a busy, four-way junction in London a few years ago where the traffic lights were briefly removed, and traffic was controlled only by the drivers interactions with other ones. Surprisingly, it worked.
Are 4 way stop signs too expensive?
So it’s kinda like a 4 way stop sign.
