Am I the only one that thinks if honda made the accord RWD, It would be a legend?

The honda accord is a great car with fantastic styling, but the FWD obsession Honda has bothers me, yes you can make a great FWD car, but I will always rather RWD. I say turn that honda v6 90 degrees and make it go sideways.

yea drivetrain conversions are a lot of labor and a good chunk of change, it would make one hell of a unique car though!

The problem is that honda has every reason to make cars like the accord fwd. Its not a fwd obsession, its a business plan to sell as many cars as possible. It makes them affordable, reliable and safe, which is exactly what the target market of the accord is looking for. In fact honda is so good at making cars cheap, reliable and capable that petrol heads love them even though they’re fwd 4 bangers.

I appreciate Honda make great cars for cheap, I’m just saying, a rwd car that has accord styling and a Honda v6 pushing power to the rear wheels would be fantastic

Makes me think of the Acura Legend, which has a latitudinal mounted V6, which would be somewhat easier to make RWD, but Honda pulled shenanigans to make it FWD.
