I want to add a larger bumper splitter lip but I don’t know what materials to use….

Typically, a splitter is made from carbon fiber sheets which have been glued together as a single unit. In your case, the lower air dam area shroud should be removed. The shroud hangs down lower then the slid plate and this is where the splitter would need to be attached. Another option would be to comb the junk yards for a car with a similar front end design which would offer you more of a suitable area to attach a splitter. But why bother.. what are you hoping to gain from this little car?.. Unless you’re hoping to rally the car and in this case, you’re looking for ground clearance.. but to each their own.

Or perhaps he just wants it for the looks. Anyway as already mentioned garden edging seems suitable for that job. Go for it!

Wanna know what to use / do?

Just pop over to some websites over here in South Africa, where that Opel Corsa is as common as rain on a rainy day (bad comparison, forgive me). Some people use a bumper that looks like the Mk3 Golf front bumper / lip, while others use the Opel Corsa GSi Bumper altogether.

I hope you find some cool ideas!
