How to pull the front wheels off the ground?

This may be a bit of a dumb question, but how are people getting their fronts to pull off the ground on launches? Does it just take a ton of power and good slicks? Or is there more to it than that? How much power do you think it would take? Just curious.

Hard suspension in the rear, soft in the front. Wide and sticky tires in the rear, skinny tires up front. A posi rear end. Add those things, and then add power until it lifts to the desired height.

Weight reduction up front helps too. I know for drag racing they usually remove the front sway bar and just about every engine bay accessory.
