How many of you guys have a footrest in their manual cars?
I drive an Alfa 145 just like in the picture (pic not mine, I just don’t have the pic for mine) and it have a footrest next to the clutch pedal.
I used to disregard it but after one week using my brother’s car (well, mine’s broken. what do you expect from an Alfa) which didn’t have any footrest near the pedal and oh boy, how much difference that little footrest can make to your driving experience.
I usually associate footrest with cars that have automatic transmission but some manual cars do have it too.
Do any of your guys got footrest in your manual car? feel free to share what model.
Note: Alfa doesn’t provide any automatic transmission for its cars of this era except the 164

Personally i dont like them. I have big feet so it gets in the way when i drop the clutch
it up to personal preference but for me, it really make a big difference. I don’t really like leaving my feet flat on the floor.
E39 have a big one
how big? if it too big that it started to get in the way then it’s definitely not good.
I have had 4 standard transmission cars and all of them had one.
1995 Chevy S10
2007 Chevy Colorado
2008 Scion tc
2013 Civic SI
maybe the manufacturer of my brother’s car is a lazy bunch lol
Civic has one. All my classics don’t. No space for anything else apart from feet in the MG
space might be the main factor but I do see a few pics of classic cars that have them, for example the Alfa GTV6
Damn, those are sexy pedals.
sadly that pic is not mine. I use the standard black rubber pedals.
