I guess i am a Petrolhead after all, but when i saw a trend #affordabledreamcar , i could not think of just one. So here is my list with realistic dream cars.

First in my list is this - Mercedes benz 560 SEL or SEC.
I had one few years ago, and i loved it, but i sold it. It s one of my all time favorite cars but it’s getting more and more expensive. in last 5 years, prices has gone up a lot. Good one now costs about 10000€. But you can get them for as little as 4000€. Sad thou, because i sold mine for less than 2000€.
It is a future classic and one of the nicest cars to drive at high speed. You can do 150km/h on gravel road and it floats over bumps so smooth, you don’t even feel them.

You can get this amazing car for less than 3000€ if you can live with a diesel, but you can save up a bit more money and for just 6000€ you can get 3.2 V6 engine. And if you are lucky, also an all wheel drive.
For me - I can live with a diesel and FWD 159, because i like how it looks from the outside and from the inside. There is not a single bad line in it’s designe. And it’s an Alfa-Romeo. Most of the time it will be sitting in your garage, because again something is not working.

This is a Factory sleeper. It has a 300 bhp engine and AWD system. This is one of the most comfortable and most practical high performance car around. They are expensive, Good one will set you back about 15000€, but i have seen them sold for as little as 5000€. Also if you are not into wagons, S60R is available. They are a bit cheaper, but i like wagons.
This is the most expensive car on this list.

Can’t afford V70R, but want a cool Volvo ?
Here it is - Volvo 480. It’s not a fast car. But it is cool. Most powerful version was 1.7 Turbo with 120 bhp.
Yeah, so not fast at all. But, there is some good reasons why you need one in your life.

1. it’s rare. It’s not like you see them every day, all the time.
2. it has very big interior. This was the best feature of it. You can carry around 4 adults in comfort in your small compact car.
3. Pop up headlamps. I don’t know what to say about it. it has pop of headlamps. What more do you want?
4. You can get one for almost nothing. It’s hard to find them, but when they do, they are cheap. I have seen them for 200€ with inspection for almost a year. But you are better off with one that cost about 600€.
5. It has the same platform as Volvo 850, so you can do an Engine swap, and deal with power problem.

Love it or hate it, but it’s a good car. Yes, engine only lasts for 200k km, it likes fuel and it eats oil,
But look from the other side - Engine is cheap to replace and it’s reliable. It has one of the best suspensions in it’s class and it’s cheap. Fun thing about Rx-8 is, you can get stock one cheaper than one with lot of mods done to it. And stock car is better most of the times. You can get them for as little as 2000€, but be ready to invest in a new or reconditioned engine. It will cost you another 2000€. After that you got yourself a nice 4 door sport car with a great engine and great ride.

I had this car before i got my license, so i know a thing or two about them.
1st - It is one of the best looking hondas ever. Yes, S2000 is nice, Early Prelude is amazing, but this is up there.
It’s easy to make it look better. Parts are cheap. Just don’t Over do it. I guess this is one of the most riced car around. It’s sad.
2nd It has 1.6 DOCH engine available with almost 160bhp! Don’t look at the less powerful versions. They are not worth it. This is the one to buy!
How much it will cost you? Well, good 1.3L version will set you back about 1000€. Maybe a bit more.
Good 1.6 DOCH is a bit more. If you are lucky you can get them for 2000€, but most likely you will spend about 2500€ on it. Still a good deal. And they hold there value well.

Why on earth someone want’s to own Opel monterey?
Well, because it’s a good off road car. I’m am an off road guy. I like dirt roads and i like it even more when there are no roads.
One of the things about off roading is - You will damage your car. it will happen like it or not. That’s why this car is here. it’s ugly and Cheap. You can get them even cheaper if you buy them with Isusu badge. It has good 3.1l Diesel engine and you can get it with 3.2 Petrol. Smaller engines is also available.
Early cars will cost you about 1000€, later model cars will be about 3000€.
It is not a dream car in the way that it’s super good, nice or anything like it. It’s a dream car that you can enjoy and than scrape it because it’s cheap. Unlike Nissan Patrol, Toyota Land cruiser or Even a Cherokee. This is a dream car because noone cares about it. That’s why i like it and i want one.

This is a list of few of my dream cars. I have a lot more, but i think that it’s enough for one day.
