Max power, stock engine.

Hi guys I’m new to this so i apologise if this question has already been asked before, but I’m wondering how much power on average can the stock Mk7 fiesta ST handle before it should be forged? Mine is running around 220-230 bhp ish right now ( FMIC, Cat back exhaust, air intake, and a map) but will be running between 240-250 when I get a sports cat and a different map, just wondering what sort of power you guys are running with which mods and what sort of power should I cap myself to without risking engine damage, cheers🤘🏼

Revo stage 3 takes the ST to around 290 with nothing listed for needing a forged engine. However stage 3 requires a bigger/hybrid turbo. I think you’re definitely safe at 240-250!

I read the same thing cos I got the Revo map on see, I thought it would be ok but I just wanted to make sure haha! Cheers mate!

Quoting Pumaspeed, about 350 bhp should be possible.

The new EcoBoost 1.6 motor has a very robust construction, the OE [original equipment] pistons and rods have been run at over 350 bhp on occasion and have stood up to the punishment.

However, this is only “on occasion”. If you plan to run all the power all the time, I’d cap it to 300 horses if I were you. Power outputs beyond 200 bhp per litre on stock internals are definitely not suitable for everyday use.

Another thing, I always wondered who came up with that. I imagine somebody sitting in a Fiesta that already runs over 250 bhp and all they say is “You know what mate, this is a bit lame. We need over 300.”
