So, yea. There is no kidding my beloved Volvo is rusty. I got it for cheap in the early summer of 2015 and it sure was a bargain but firstly, the brakes were non-existing. Secondly both the left doors were almost as crispy as Alex`s miata. And for last, both control arms looked like swiss cheese and maybe that was the reason it had not gotten inspected since late 2011.

I started with exchanging the brake hardware. Both the two rear calipers were replaced with used but functioning ones and the front calipers got renovated with new seals. I had to replace all rotors and pads because it was in such bad shape.

After the brake job i started to fix the rust and the metal on the bottom of the left fender had to get replaced and for being my first restoration it looks quite good.

The Swedish winter goes hard on all car metal but this 240 is not done yet. The doors got replaced to ugly looking but rust free ones.
I changed my control arms to brand new ones but i don“t have any footage of that.
