Now’s Your Chance To Own An Uber Rare Audi A1 Quattro

With its handsome styling, responsive chassis and top notch interior, we’ve always been big fans of the Audi A1. Over the years, the German manufacturer has perfected its small hatchback, but the model arguably peaked back in 2012, with the limited-run A1 Quattro.

With a compact 2.0-litre 252bhp four-cylinder engine, the Quattro could rocket from 0-62 in just 5.7 seconds. Identical to its bigger brother, the S3.

Outside the car was treated to a complete makeover. White turbine 18-inch alloy wheels, red accents on the LED daytime running lights, an aggressive bodykit and wider exhaust tips set the car apart from the next-best A1, the 182bhp 1.4T.

Unfortunately, all 333 examples (19 came to the UK) were sold before the car was officially released. And even if you could have secured an example, it would have cost you a whopping £41,035. For an A1!

Thankfully, prices have dropped, with this one owner car expected to go for between £30,000 and £35,000 at this month’s ‘May Sale Silverstone Auction’. Granted, that’s still a lot of money, but this particular example is one of 333, making it a future collectors item. If only we had the money…

Would you take one of these over a new RS3? Let us know in the Audi RS3 Forum!

I saw that ad. Shame they never had a five pot, because otherwise they’re very similar to the much cheaper S1

I wouldn’t complain about having either. I just complain I don’t have any money to buy one.

They’re not very rare in Switzerland… A 10 second search got me 4 examples. All of them for 50k+ SFr though.
