Great work! I think I need to do this to my e46. What products did you use?
Thank you! Do it, i did the same to my first E46 when i bought it, i like my cars to be clean, it is more pleasant to work on later. I used an all purpose cleaner to disolve grease and oil and a soft painters brush to help agitate. i did by small portions to not let the cleaner dry on surfaces and then rinse, and repeat. At the end when everything is dry i used the Meguiars product on black pieces.
Super! 👍
Thanks!
Looks fantastic, lovely car too. How would you go about cleaning up alloy surfaces? As you can see, my bay has a lot of it exposed on the rocker cover and it tends to stain if you let chemicals dry on it…
Thanks, nice ute you have there, never seen one in life, we don’t have it here in Canada. I would try to not let the chemicals dry, clean by small portions and rinse it off fast, or use a weaker chemical, maybe just car shampoo and a scrubbing pad. Do tests on less visible surfaces.
Nice, I want to do that to my e39.
Do it! it takes a bit of time the first time(if it is as dirty as this car was), but then you just wipe the dust of from time to time :)
Nice! I’d like to clean the engine bay in my dad’s E39, but I’m a little concerned about any exposed electronics. Already took a pressure washer to the engine my mom’s Hyundai (which is a 2013), so I don’t know what I’m worried about.
It should be fine, but if you are really worried cover them up(the first time i wrapped the connectors with aluminum foil) . I dont use pressure, i only use free flowing water from a hose
