Weird knocking sound from engine,

So I bought a used GT86 (2013, AT with 93K Kms driven. There’s a knocking sound that happens at low rpms when the engine is warmed up. I’ve heard people say it’s the vacuum thingy, but will be giving it in to the dealer and see what they say. Just wondering if anybody else has had/solved this problem. The noise is coming from the right hand side of the car and is heard while in park/neutral and driving as well. Any idea to what it might be?!

That doesn’t sound good… Did someone swap the boxer 4 for a 2.7l Chrysler V6 recently? There’s your knocking.

Sounds like a rod knock in the motor. The sound could be resonating through the sound tube into the right side of the car

Just hoping whatever it is, it isn’t too severe. I just Googled what a rod knock is. And I don’t like the sound of it -.-

UPDATE: After giving it back to the dealer, they found out it was the vacuum pump that was causing the noise. A quick replacement and it’s gone!
