Got my Logitech g920 yesterday. Review in the comments
It’s pretty fun, not as good as I was hoping. The force feedback is actually much stronger on Horizon 2 than F6, even though they are both maxed. Force feedback on forza 6 is about the same as my Microsoft 360 wheel on Forza 4…
Brake pedal was cool, but wayyyy too stiff so I removed the rubber piece. Much easier now, it was nearly impossible to heal and toe before. I liked that it let you feel the brake threshold, but took an insane amount of force to get there.
There is a bit of dead zone for on center steering. We’ll call it the Matt Farah 90s zone.
It recognizes the motions, but the motor isn’t locked so it’s loose. Not awful but is noticeable. I’ve noticed how snappy the steering can be and a lot of times its way over sensitive IMO. That’s more to do with the game than the wheel, but it is pretty apparent. I’ve done a little bit of track driving and cars never feel that twitchy.
Shifter is okay, super light throws, too light. Don’t like that reverse is a push down and uses same slot as 6th. Otherwise it works fine.
I like it, but wondering if the Thrustmaster would have been better. This was 350 including the shifter where the Thrustmaster is like 500+ for the same set up. Not to mention the Thrustmaster seems to have massive QC and reliability problems. If it was more reliable I would spend the extra money, but dumping 500-600 on something that could break out of warranty would totally suck.
Overall mixed feelings.

How much
How much was it? I mentioned in the review, 350 with shifter on Amazon.
Ok sry
no worries.
Tell you what, if you can hook up a PC with Assetto Corsa or wait for it to come out on consoles, you will start to fall in love with the wheel.
Forza wheel support is pretty much the worst in the business, ffb is horrid, the steering wheel on-screen only rotates 90 degrees either side, and there is a bug where the in-game steering wheel is shaking while driving forward, and it hasnt been fixed since Forza 5.
Its basically a G27 for Xbox One and the G27 is THE benchmark for wheels.
The rubber piece in the brake pedal starts to soften up over time, heel/toe should be fine while wearing shoes, just take it into consideration.
Don’t have a good PC for that.
I don’t see how the piece softens up much, I’ve heard the same, but it’s a solid chunk of rubber. If anything, I bet the spring wears in not the the rubber. I was wearing shoes, the problem is it requires so much pressure to brake. I took it out and it’s not perfect, but it’s much better. I wish the brake was more sensitive, there’s a tad bit of dead travel.
The brake is way too hard though, it feels like pushing your brake pedal when your car is off. I liked you could feel the threshold, but idk….I’ll maybe throw it back in and see if it gets better.
Wish they used a slightly stiffer spring for the gas pedal, I thought about switching springs from the clutch to the gas, but then the clutch gets a bit floppy.
It’s not a bad set up by any means, but it’s pricey for what it is.
I’ll play with it more this weekend, but those are my first impressions.
