E30 Engine Won't Start, Just cranks. (Long Post+Details)
So, this evening, my brother’s e30(but Im using it) for some random reason just won’t start. Before the video was filmed, the car actually starts, VERY BADLY, it feels like the engine is lugging. When I glue my foot to the floor, the engine was Desperately revving at ~3000 Rpm, and when I lift my foot, the engine just stopped. And then when the video was filmed, the engine just ran ~3 seconds and its dead. AFTER the video was filmed, the engine wasn’t even started. And after 20 minutes of just trying to start it, i gave up. Remember, this was my brothers car, so 1. I Cannot do anything to it except drive it around the block,(Haven’t got license yet) 2. The oil was never changed since 1,5 years ago/1500km ago, when i say PLS CHANGE THE OIL to my brother, he just like “meh,stfu” 3. I Usually start the car every week, so last week was fine, in fact i drove it around the block, its now suddenly wont start. 4. The fuel pump is working(i heard the noise) 5. The engine little vacuum thing that is near the throttle body, it looks like a small bottle, the seal of that thing has cracks on it, so when i rev the engine, it moves a little bit. And when i ask him to fix it with a simple black sealer, he refuses it and say (oh its fine,duh). So any ideas why it wasnt starting? PLEASE HELP ME, I Love this car, and I don’t want this car to be sold by my mother because (Oh its old, Its unreliable, its a bad car blablabla nonsense.)

crankshaft sensor might be a problem worth checking out. But Then I do not understand how it could have started in the first place. It is a 50 bugs or so part (at most) giving and information from Crank to ECU when to put fuel in which cylinder. Had that problem
Hmm.. that is very complicated,, and i reckon the part will be difficult aswell ,because the junkyard on my city (jakarta) recently has been shut. Anyway,thx for the advice ;)
If its not the cps look into. The cold start valve and if its not that its probably the coolant temp sensor
Ke private auto aja om vacum bawah throttle body yang kecil gaboleh ada gap itu kalo ada retak harus di ganti, itu yang bikin susah idle

Hay man, I got some things for you to try: 1. Try disconnecting the Air Mass/Volume Sensor and try starting up the car. 2. Just because you hear the fuel pump working, that doesn’t mean that it works well enough to get the right volume of fuel. Try turning the key to the contact position and holding it there for 5-6 seconds several (3-4) times before trying to turn it to ignition. If that is your problem, (and the pump still has some life in it) that should result in the pump getting enough fuel. You can also just disconnect the fuel hose and put it in a bucket, make sure there is fuel going there. The better way to check is to disconnect the fuel rail and measure what pressure there. (you will need fuel pressure gauge for that) 3. Check the spark plugs, make certain that they are in good condition 4. Check the cables (need one more guy), the easiest way to do that is try to start the car in the dark - one guy opens the bonnet and look for sparks where there shouldn’t be any and other guy tries to start the car. 5. Check distributor 6. If you have spark than the crankshaft position sensor is most likely fine. Nothing else comes from the top of my head, but think along the lines that you need air fuel and spark, so that you can have ignition and consider what could be wrong from there. Good luck.
